The focus of this master thesis is to investigate how art and creativity can be implemented in the processes of learning. How can art and creativity play a larger role in the Danish education system, and can it be present in a more ubiquitous and ongoing way. Theory U by C. Otto Scharmer is the methodological approach. The theory is put to test by taking a journey through the seven phases of the U process: Downloading, Seen, Sensing, Presencing, Crystallizing, Prototyping and Performing. Is it possible to create new knowledge that is useful by having significant impact on student’s innovative and creative skills? Can they learn how to deal with the challenges of tomorrow? And if so – how?
