Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This assignment is an observational study with the purpose of investigating mobile habits of eatery visitors, specifically whilst the visitor is in conjunction with other people. The goal of the study is to understand what triggers a person to interact with their telephone instead of socializing with the fellow guests at the eatery and to understand if this is an undesirable action. The assignment builds on the assumption that people use their telephones, instead of interacting with other guests. Furthermore, the group had an assumption that this reoccurring phenomenon could have a negative influence on the other guests. In order to investigate the behavioral habits of the cliental, the group devised the work process of the study using a model called the Basis Model. It is a process model most commonly used for the creating of nudge initiatives. However, it is a process model that excels at creating an overview and understanding of a specific topic, in this case mobile habits of eatery visitors. This made the model an obvious choice to help form and create this study. This study will, however, not present a solution nor contain representative data. The study should be considered a foundation for further studies.
