This paper investigates how an existing promotion event of the festival Wonderfestiwall can be strengthened throughout the use of experiences and a strengthened visual expression. One of the main problematics of last year’s event was the visual expression, or lack thereof. The lack of the visuals, made it difficult for the participants to understand the meaning of the event. Therefore the aim has been to investigate which elements can be used and which existing can be empowered, in order to eliminate any confusion at this year’s event, while giving the participants a credible glimpse of Wonderfestiwall. Our focus has been on designing an experience throughout the conduct of an event. To specify our field, and investigate how experiences have found importance in our society, we found theories of Dorte Skot-Hansen and Jens Ørnbo, Claus Sneppen & Peter Würtz interesting. Furthermore Jens Ørnbo, Claus Sneppen & Peter Würtz alongside Jan Halberg Madsen, are used to investigate the elements necessary to conduct an event, in order to communicate our message properly. Lastly Richard Schechner is included in order to support our theoretical basis, as well to investigate part of the target group.
