Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

The main focus of this project has been to investigate moral development, and moral acquisition in the human being - and more specifically in this matter, infants. This project aims to prove the philosopher, and theologist, Knud Ejler Løgstrup’s ideas regarding humans as having a seed of morality, assisted by psychologist Daniel Stern's developmental psychology. Stern’s theory basically supports the idea that infants, from birth have excellent skills, and preferences regarding the social life. This assignment therefore provides an explanation of Løgstrup's and Stern's theories, as well as a description of their methods. Furthermore, the project includes a synthesis, in order to explain and support Løgstrup's philosophical understanding in a psychological and more acknowledged manner. Finally it is discussed and concluded how Løgstrup’s assumptions can be adequately proven through a developmental psychological perspective - that the human being consist moral seeds, that are developed through social interaction.
