Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This project is a theoretical presentation, of how the subject is affected in the urban space of the city. This project takes upon a wide perspective, of how different elements create the modern city. Subsequent the field of research narrows down and focus on the subjects encounter with the materiality of the city. Through expositions and analyses of; David Cooper, Kristine Samson, Zygmunt Bauman, Dag Østerberg and Kristoffer Lindhart Weiss the relationships and conflicts that arise between the subject and the urban space are discussed. A point of view is that all human are born with the same sensory apparatus, which we have an understanding for. However this project is based on an understanding that all human have a subjective approach to their surroundings. We are engaged in how subjects and objects influence each other in urban environments. To make a comprehensive discussion we include relevant terms from the theorists mentioned above. Through the project we realised that there are countless elements that impact subjects of which some are presented through our study.
