Based on these findings, Norman Faircloughs Critical Discourse Analysis will form the basis of a qualitative analysis of four articles found to be particularly representative of the two newspapers, providing the foundation of a discussion in regards to the power and responsibilities of the news media’s, its possible impact on public discourse, as well as ethical aspects of the journalist in relation to this.
