The following project is based on an analysis of a communication product, as well as an analysis of the empirical data we gathered in order to discover how our target audience perceived the communication product. Our aim is to explore the feedback of our audience, as well as the reasons behind the success and failures of the communication product’s features. In order to achieve our goal, we will be using Theory of Semiotics for the analysis of the communication product. Furthermore, we will apply Reception Analysis and Critical Discourse Analysis for the analysis of the target audience’s perception of the poster, as well as for the reflection on the results we received. Our theoretical framework includes the theory by Ervin Goffman - The Presentation of Self - to discuss what factors can influence the results of qualitative research. Lastly, we state the main findings of our research and conclude the project with suggestions on what could have been done differently in order to better reach our target audience.
