This review outlines and discusses the body of literature on managing refugees in the Global South with a multicultural perspective. The literature within this study is taken from a sociological research area and investigates the consequences of what is found to be a Eurocentric perspective on refugee management in the Global South. The first section of the review covers the theoretical approaches being identified as those of multiculturalism in general and policies and categories on refugee management. The second section reveals the methodological tendencies with a predominance of qualitative methods of interviews, ethnographic approaches and observations. The final section of the review presents three gaps in the literature. The first is a theoretical lack of a common and pure multicultural approach as it is not sufficiently applied and equally conceptualized. The second, a empirical lack of research on several refugee minorities. The last, a lack of quantitative methods.
