Studenteropgave: Basisprojekt

Abstrakt

Live streaming is a tool granted by modern day technology created for the purpose of sharing an event directly with people who are not present at that given event. This project shares this purpose, but mainly focuses on the level of university lectures. Lectures are vital to any student in order to achieve full insight of whatever subject they are studying, and the ability of streaming such lectures live from campus to a physically absent student will be a helpful tool in many situations. These are the basic ideas behind the implementation of our product on the campus of Roskilde University Center. This product and the appertaining implementation are carried out by ourselves with our technological abilities and resources. Through close analysis of several interviews and a survey, the paper finds that the mentioned ideas and thoughts are heavily supported by students as well as teachers. A thorough discussion finds that though some ethical aspects talk against the implementation, both subjective, technical and societal aspects back up the agendas behind this project.
