This project concerns the design and development of a travelling related mobile application called Little Earth. We sought to understand traveler usage of applications, and any lack of travel information and functionality, and it is based on this information that we based the design of Little Earth. We then utilized Usability methods to evaluate our design, to insure a higher quality User Experience, with focus on the presentation of the travelling related information and functionalities. These methods were used at a hostel in Copenhagen named Sleep in Heaven. By conducting them in a relevant context with people travelling, we ensured the authenticity of our results. Based on the empirical data gathered in this project, it can be concluded that there presently exists a lack of overview, regarding which traveling related functionalities are already available as a, or part of a mobile application. The specified functionalities that test subjects answer they lack, were often already incorporated in mobile applications they were already using.
