The Thesis is dealing with an issue of learning in intercultural envoriment. The case for this study is a human rights course conducted by the Danish Institute for Human Rights. The paper is working with several theories from its two majours; Pychology and Cultural Encouters, hereunder Ole Dreier's learning theory, Kenneth Gergen's relationship theory and Iben Jensen's theory on intercultural communiaction. The paper is also containing a theoretical discussion of culture as a theoretical term, using the theories of Kirsten Hastrup, Gerd Baumann and Cahtrine Hasse. The main goal of the thesis has been to analyze the ways, in which the partcipants of the course find it useful and appliable for their human rights work in their home countries. On the basis of the analysis the chellanges of the teachers, responsible for the course, have been exposed.
