Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

Abstrakt

This project aims to discover how the narratives of transsexuals stress the importance of the material body in post structural sex-studies. With an inspiration from Judith Butler and Jay Prosser we seek to distinct the constructivist queer-theory of gender as solely a performativity. The transsexuals tell us that gender must be something relating the psysical body, which is the subject of performativity. But this performance can only be understood to the degree that there is a language and world to understand it by. Therefore it calls for a multi-gendered concept
