This project tries, through a Laclau and Mouffe-inspired discourse analysis, to uncover how the articulation of science influences the Danish population’s actions on the subject Climate Change. Nine articles are analysed in order to research how archetypical solutions and barriers of awareness are articulated in these, based on theories from the works Klimabevidsthedens barrierer and Alternativer – Natur – Landbrug respectively. In a further analysis of the cor- relations of archetypes and barriers, it is acknowledged that such correlations are hard to find. Subsequently, this paper discusses Laclau and Mouffe’s terms of Myths and Subject positions and how the barriers and archetypes can be related to these. From the acknowledgement, that the scientific articulations of climate change are complicated throughout several layers of abstraction, the project concludes that the complexity of the discursive order in itself is caus- ing a lack of action against climate change in the Danish population.
