Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This project aims to examine the stratification in Kildemosen and therethrough uncover the formation process of the bog. The project is based on fieldwork observations in collaborations with drilling samples. The analysis is supported by general principles of landscape formation, bog geology and bog formation processes. The primary source is Naturen I Danmark by Gyldendal. In conclusion we find reasonable arguments that the terrain hollow that Kildemosen is located in, is the result of the Weichsel Ice Age. A deposition of ground material has led to corrugated moraine landscape that has formed the lake, which in Kildemosen is located. It is most likely that Kildemosen was formed under the period of Atlantikum. Increased growth in life led to total invasion of the existing lake by plants.
