This project work addresses recent critical developments in the Europe after financial crisis 2008. As Unemployment is in rise, austerity policies are installed on European level in order to counteract. Through a critical approach, backed up by Keynesian understandings of macroeconomics, these developments are evaluated in order to explore the interrelation between Neoliberalism and Unemployment in Europe. Due to the macroeconomic and critical theoretical understanding behind this analysis, recent policies have to be contextualized to global imbalances in production and consumption and Neoliberal transformation since the 80s’.
