This project presents a product testing of the radio news item 'The struggle for the good life'. The purpose of this has been to measure the effect of the items content and theme 'the good life' through a qualitative focus group interview. The items target group is P1 listeners, why informants all meet this criterion, as they commented on the product's strengths and weaknesses. The data has been processed by the use of an analysis where formation of meaning, miscommunication and reception theory has been included, to be able to extract the informants’ overall reception. Finally, we wish to conclude on whether we have managed to convey the intended message in 'The struggle for the good life', which is the struggle for the right of others to have a good life.
