Abstract This project examines the youth organisation (NSU) of the danish national socialist party (DNSAP). The projects focus will be on gender ideas of NSU and how it was expressed through their journal, Stormfanen. the project is theoretical based on the theory of constructed gender cf. Tamar Mayer. Through analysis of activities and education of the young members of NSU, the project examines how it was part of their upbringing as the ideal national socialist men and women. Furthermore the work, through analysis of language and discourse in Stormfanen, seeks to enlighten how the gender ideas is constructed in an overall complementary gender understanding.The project is structured in chapters, where the first chapter will examine activities and education in NSU. The next chapter will focus on the central constructed opposites within NSU. The third chapter will enlighten the complementarity of the gender and how it was abstractly constructed. The work finally shows how NSU perceived the gender as biological determined in function and soul. In their opinion men and women was equals, despite the fact that they had different roles in society. Finally the paper makes a turn, to briefly reflect the relationship between the subject equality and difference and how it can be percieved.
