This project investigates the convergence of the takeaway delivery company Just Eat and M&A theory. A thorough investigation of existing literature within the field is provided. Strategic objectives and results of Just Eat, along with operational processes, are measured against theory in order to determine whether the success of Just Eat’s adopted M&A strategy is due to a theoretically converging approach. The results of the project conclude that Just Eat’s approach to a large extend converges with theory, but that factors outside the scope of the framework can have sufficient influence to change the results. Further testing of theory is necessary to ascertain the results and additional variables needs to be considered.
