Abstract This project is a discourse analysis of the danish debate on prostitution in the period october 2011 to november 2012. The project uses 85 articles from the period as the empirical foundation and point of departure for the analysis. This will be analysed with the use of feministic theory on prostitution and equality theory as a preconception to the subject. In the Project we conclude by identifying 3 discourses in the debate: A feministic, a social and a liberal. The three discourses fight to define the meaning to prostitution as a phenomenon. The relationship between the the different discourses is in some ways irreconcilable as they have different views on prostitution, still there is also certain ways to problematize prostitution and different solutions that is shared between the discourses. In the end we make a point of the relativity of the 3 discourses and the truths they produce could have taken a different shape.
