Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This project is theoretical and examines how Daniel Kahneman’s and Thomas Ziehe’s theories can explain the decision making process that occurs when the individual decides to resign from work. Through this study the theories potential and limitations to explain the phenomenon will be discussed. The project uses Daniel Kahneman’s theory about mans two cognitive systems and Thomas Ziehe’s theory of everyday culture. These theories will be supplemented by Klaus Holzkamp’s theory of human living. The theories explanation of the individual decision making is exemplified through an article. The study discovers that the theories explain the decision making process in various ways. The theories focus on different aspects of the phenomenon. Ziehe explains the process based on social conditions of the individual, while Kahneman explains the process from the situation the decision is taken in. Additionally it is also concluded that the theories have their own possibilities and limitations and that they complement each other well.
