This paper is a case study that examines how a specific unit ensures that a given strategy is implemented and embedded throughout the organization, across interdisciplinary offices and not just end up as good intentions? This study aims to show how a unit works to translate a strategy into action in the ‘Børn, Unge and Folkeskole (BUF)’ office at KL. To do so, implementations theory has been used, as well as qualitative method of collecting empirical material to conduct this study. The result of the study shows that the unit approaches the implementation from different perspectives. This has an impact on how the different actors choses to translate the strategy into the BUF office, where it turns out that the strategy has not yet been implemented.
