This paper examines the implementation of the ESCO-model in Danish organizations. The study will be conducted on a case study of the implementation of an ESCO-project in Middelfart municipality in cooperation with Schneider Electric. The paper analyzes the ESCO-project and Building Analytic through organization- and innovation theory. Furthermore, it analyzes the organizational change connected to the implementation of the ESCO-project in Middelfart municipality. The paper discusses alternatives to the ESCO-model as well as if the case study is generalizable to other organizations. The study seeks to understand how to ensure a successful implementation of the ESCO-model through innovations and which change processes it causes.
