The integrated thesis “Il futuro é passato qui” investigates the historical development of the classical university idea and brand and the differences and similarities between the idea and brand of a classical and an alternative university based on university history and interviews with academic employees. The alternative university is exemplified by Roskilde University (RUC). Brand is defined as a combination of added value, identity and reputation.
