Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

In this project we investigate the illustration of reality that is constructed through the Russian homosexual. This will be done through the use of discourse analysis of the anti-homosexual legislation and the Russian orthodox religion. To what extent can this aspect be understandable as ethical and justifiable compared to the human rights? The purpose of the analysis is to determine the discourse of the sermon made by patriarch Kirill of Moscow, the homosexual propaganda legislation and part of the political and civil human rights. The purpose is therefore to gain what illustration they separately make of the reality. To support this we use theories of Jürgen Habermas and Axel Honneth to put the view of society in perspective. Furthermore, we discuss the necessary matters, such as the ethical aspects of making a law like this. Our conclusion is that the illustrations of reality, which the discourse analysis of the Russian legislation and the sermon of Kirill benefit us, is unethical compared to the humanistic ethic. This ethical understanding is westerly and therefore it! !
