This projekt contains a comparative study of curricula of the history subject on STX from 2013 and 2017 in order to investigate how history as a course has changed over the period. This analysis shows there has been a change in relation to the way the teacher should regard the history course. Where it was previously based on the didactic of the use of history it is now up to the teacher, as the curriculum anno 2017 states, to use the didactics of the history course. It’s no longer useful to only focus on how the past influenced humanity, but also on how the past influences the future through the present. Furthermore history as a course has moved on from previously creating a sense of community to focusing on the creation of identity through enlightenment and interpretations of the past. Therefore the conclusion is that awareness of history has had its effect on the curricula and through that affected the course of history so that the focus is on acknowledgement of the historically social processes and how they influence the era.
