Habermas og Teorien om den kommunikative handlen

Amalie Pauline Dreves Behrend, Carina Bohn & Nikoline Skaarup

Studenteropgave: Fagmodulprojekt

This project aims to explain the theoretical framework developed by philosopher and sociologist Jürgen Habermas, more specifically his Theory of Communicative Action.
Through a hermeneutic process, the paper in hand seeks to understand and categorize the multitude of theoretical elements, terms and concepts which are entailed in the Theory of Communicative Action.
The approach has been as follows: in part an examination of the philosophical, sociological and historical context surrounding- and prior to Habermas’ communicative action, but also by thorough reading of the text and discussion of the innovative elements of the paradigmatic shift within communication theory, which Habermas represents.
Finally, a discussion of his contemporary, explanatory power in regard to current events follows.
The paper concludes that Habermas’ extensive theory still today has the ability to explain a variety of communicative actions- and situations in the current state of affairs.
