This paper is written on the 4th semester of Humanistic-Technological-Study at Roskilde University. The subject of the paper is the different discourses in terms of group dynamic skills, between universities and the corporate world. The empirical foundation of the paper is interviews done by the groupmembers. The interviewed represents came from Roskilde University and the Confederation of Danish Industry. The intention of the paper has not been to provide a definitive answer on how the problem between universities and industry can be solved or to deliver a definite definition. Rather, the paper seeks to discuss different viewpoints and be a reference in later discussions. Through the paper the question of interest has been How does the view on “group dynamic competencies” of Roskilde University and the Confederation of Danish Industry complement each other. With the Confederation of Danish Industry as a case? The paper concludes that the view on group dynamic competences of Roskilde University and the Confederation of Danish Industry are complementing each other well. Though, they have differences in their perception, because of the different perspectives of the concept, which has created a discourse. The Confederation of Danish Industry strive a society, that are competitive on the global market of knowledge. This paper is based on a report, made by the Confederation of Danish Industry, which criticizes the competences of the Danish students.
