Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

It has been examined, how the premises of the meeting between the citizen and the system of spousal reunification, can be understood as limiting the citizens possibilities for recognition. The meeting has been examined from a critical hermeneutic perspective with a normative ideal, which has been sourced from Axel Honneths theory of recognition. The premise of administration has been investigated on the basis of Nils Brunssons organizational theory backed by a factual interview, while the pre-requisite of the citizens meeting has been investigated through the application of prior understandings in the shape of a focus group meeting as well as two semi-structured interviews. It can be concluded that the citizen, during the meeting with the system, feels violated on the basis of the citizen’s own experience of spousal reunification as a human right along with the bureaucratic set-up of the system.
