This report investigates the study information system at Roskilde University with an angle on the design, communication and the organizational perspective. This has been done to find the issues which are behind RUC’s study information system and specially Moodle. Our empirical data was conducted in a survey, interviews with experts and a user test on Moodle and our own design suggestion. The results of these investigations showed that most of the students and teachers found complications with Moodle. At the same time they found that the design was bad and lacking the quality that the students and some teachers expected. The students and Troels Andreasen, who‘s a lector at RUC, wish for a system which collects all the features they need in one system. On the basis of these results, our group made our suggestion to how RUC’s study information system could be done and be able to satisfy the students and teachers need, so the program had all the necessary features which was expected, but designed in a more foreseeable way.
