Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

This project is a case study of the environmental creative group The Floating City. Our focus will be on The Floating City’s struggle for survival in an everlasting evolving city, Copenhagen. One of the main issues for The Floating City is the gentrification of Copenhagen, which they are victims of. These kinds of associations can not compete with the financial stronger companies in the battle for space in Copenhagen and are being forced out. In order to overcome the issue the city planners and politicians have a reasonability to act upon this to secure the diversity and cultural life in the city, which The Floating City contributes to. The economy is a struggle for this voluntary association as well as a more reliable contract with their landlord. Through research methods such as interviews and ethnographic, can we conclude that The Floating City needs more structure in order for achieving economical aid from different funds.
