The purpose of this report is to investigate the experiences of residents in contemporary iconic buildings designed by star-architects. The analysis is based on how iconicity is constructed through the representation of star-architecture buildings in the media. The report is divided in two articles where in the first one it is discussed how the iconicity of a building can be constructed through social media, the relationship of residents with the building itself and how they cope with the attention the building generates. The second article explores beyond the exterior walls of the building to explain how the residents define the community relationships. To conclude the study goes inside residents’ homes to elaborate on how they describe the processes of making sense of home and home possessions.
