With point of departure in a qualitative investigation of the third sector related organization, Trampoline House, hybrid tendencies has appeared. Through the interpretation of Trampoline House as a third/private sector hybrid organization several challenges has emerged. As organizational growth, formalization and hierarchical governance structures push the organization towards more entrenched areas of the hybrid field, the volunteers and interns are perceived as mere tools for operationalization and their positions as formal owners are threatened.
