Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

From a social constructivist approach this project report is an investigation of the possibility of using a master plan for the construction of an urban design. Based on Patsy Healey’s theory on urban governance it is illuminated, whether it is possible in the master take into account, sustainability and citizen involvement. At the same time it examines the underlying policy process and the roles of all involved parties, from the theories Karina Sehested and Andrew Heywood. It is discussed whether the planning role is similar to the rational planning and if the role of citizen involvement could be done differently. To exemplify this a case study of urban an planning project in Aarhus is used. Including two qualitative interviews compiled by Steinar Kvale's theories. Finally, it is concluded that the overall planning with sustainability is possible but that the citizen involvement requires a different kind of planning.
