Studenteropgave: Bachelorprojekt

This project is a case study that seeks to test the correlation between training and performance. The rationale for conducting this research is that the business literature measures the correlation between employee training and employee performance with linear equations. However, employee performance can be a non-linear phenomenon in relation to training that we have examined. We have also utilized the toolkits from integrative management school to link training and performance. Integrative management school links classical school, behavioral, and quantitative school to investigate management problems. Migros in Turkey was chosen as our case, and 123 employees were surveyed in this research. The surveys were conducted for two reasons. Firstly, to measure employee performance through self-appraisal and secondly, to estimate how much employees were getting trained. The results based on our sample size indicated clearly that the cause and effect relationship between employee training and performance is disproportionate and non-linear.
