Studenteropgave: Fagmodulprojekt

This project centers an analysis based on both interviews and questionnaires about how international students use emojis. With the data gathered we seek to discover the function of emojis and the reason behind the huge impact the small symbols have had on the way we communicate with each other today. We argue that the connection between words and images always has been apparent but that the extensive use of images as a part of communication, especially in everyday practices. This calls for research that allows us to understand how we use them, why we use them and in what way emojis can be read. Further on, we look a bit into how online communication with images has developed and we also reflect upon what it might look like in the future.
