The main purpose of this paper is to explore how different relevant stakeholders play roles during
emergency preparedness during earthquake. Multitude stakeholders such as government, non-government organization, international non-governmental organization , private sectors are taken
into consideration for the study. Intensive literature has been studied to understand deeply about
the earthquake of 2015 in Nepal. Nepal, being a disaster prone country , has witnessed many
natural hazards such as earthquake, flood, avalanches etc. Recently Nepal was hit by 7.5 Richter
scale earthquake which lost many lives and physical assets. The government of Nepal together
with NGOs and INGOs involved during emergency and disaster management. However,
government and political parties effort seems to be ineffective and insufficient which creates the
gap and to fulfill those gaps multitude stakeholders are involved . The author finds out that
government has all the power in law making and government should be able to regulate the actions
of all the NGOs, INGOs and other stakeholders. Likewise, NGOs and INGOs plays crucial role in
Developing countries as they work from the grassroots level and play the role of bridge between
government and local people
