This paper examines the adoption of the innovative project Din Stifinder in the municipality Rudersdal. Din Stifinder is a cooperation between two private partners, PenSam & Wills, and the public municipality Rudersdal. The intend is to reduce the amount of social & health employees that have a long-term absence as a result of sickness. Due to a growing population of elderly and attritional work conditions for the employee, the sector is under pressure to maintain the total volume of workers. Due to this problem, it is relevant to examine which conditions are promoting and inhibiting the adoption of innovative initiatives that would help solve the issue. The goal of the paper is partially problem oriented with focus on identifying key problems. Furthermore, it is knowledge developing, due to the sparse historical research that has been conducted on the basis of this particular kind of partnership. Finally, the project concludes on the key inhibiting factors to this process.
