This report is addressing the topic of work-related issues associated with the implementation of digitalized technologies in the Danish health care system and the implications experienced by the subjects using the technology. The rapport’s modus operandi is a combination of qualitative methods such as ethnographic studies and qualitative interviews. The research is scientifically positioned in the postphenomenological tradition to explain the various implications, healthcare personal experiences from a first-person perspective through a work that is technologically mediated by an EPR-system called Sundhedsplatformen. Furthermore, the report is addressing the condition of transition between a technologically mediated work to a none-technologically mediated work and the implications experienced by the health care personnel during EPR-system malfunctions. Lastly, the notion of ontological security and abstract systems is used to conceptualize theoretically, the nature of the transitional condition’s implications for the healthcare staff, and the importance of understanding the constitutive qualities a technology can have for the healthcare personnel’s perception of their work-selves, the patients and their profession.
