Abstrakt

The purpose of this paper is to examine which didactic considerations we have to use when educating a first year class at Allerød Gymnasium with the intentions of creating a connection between what has to be learned and the way it gets learned, while implementing the demands of the ministerial notice. In order to answer the main question of this paper, we act as a substitute for an upper secondary school teacher through the method action research, in particular action learning. To support this, we also use the method participating observation. This is done by using didactic considerations from Gymnasiepædagogik – En grundbog and theory about learning from Knud Illeris. The results of this paper shows, that in order to teach an upper secondary school class, we have to use didactic consid- erations about varying teaching and working methods in order to include all the different student conditions for learning and their different ways of learning. We also have to use didactic considera- tions about how to lead a class to make sure that we are capable of leading, motivating and maintain- ing control of the entire class while teaching. This is done in order to create a safe environment for teaching while having all the different type of student requirements in mind. In order to motivate the students, it is necessary to encourage the students internal and external motivation by making the teaching material interesting, challenging and relevant in relation to their overall education.
