This project describes the implementation of the board game Rotator. The game was programmed in JavaFX and was designed to be easy for new players to learn, without having to consult the game instructions or manual. The application has been programmed using the Mode-View-Controller structure, and principles from Object Oriented Programming have been applied in the development process. The scalability of the game elements in conjunction with the platform independence of JavaFX, makes it possible for the game to run on different hardware configurations i.e. mobile phones and PC’s, at least in theory. The application was successfully implemented. The game cannot, however, be played on devices with small screens because some of the graphical elements will appear too small to be used properly. In conclusion JavaFX has shown to be a reasonable programming language with which to implement the game Rotator, and similar applications, where there is a demand for simple functions with a well developed user interface.
