In this project we seek to answer the question of what it means to be Danish in three different ages in Danish cultural history. That being Danish romanticism, modernism and contemporary culture. In doing so we have, at the same time, been choosing appropriate pedagogical and didactically tools. These tools are both described theoretically and how they were practically applied in our teaching of a first year class at Ordrup Gymnasium. In our internship we have been teaching four times. In doing this we have learned how to apply these tools. We evaluated the taught course and referenced this to our theoretical starting point. We also took classroom management in to account while planning the subject of the course.
Initially we began the project by researching “Danishness”. The result of our literary analysis concludes that there are some differences and similarities in the defining what it means to be danish in the three different ages in Danish cultural history. Our goal was to teach this to the students and by doing so, to make them reflect on the subject matter. This teaching process and the planing behind, through lecture plans, is documented in this project.
