Danskernes brug af toiletter

Studenteropgave: Bachelorprojekt

This project examines the danes attitude towards, and knowledge about correct sitting position on the toilet. By using a regular toilet, the body has an inexpedient position which puts an unnecessary pressure on the bowels during defecation. This problem is easily avoided by lifting the feet off the ground. For example, by using a stool.
This project seeks to answer if it is possible to inform a target audience of danes between the ages of 20 to 30 about this issue. It is determined that the solution should be to produce an informative, yet entertaining video about the issue.
By using theories of Social Constructivism, Multimodality, Social Semiotics, and The Benign Violation Theory of Humor, the cinematic techniques are determined. By connecting these, a justification for a design is created. This design was presented to the target audience, through qualitative interviews, whose feedback was used for evaluation.
The purpose was that this video should be shared between friends through the social media, Facebook. It is therefore examined how communication between users work on this site.
Finally, it is concluded that it is possible to articulate this subject through the use of humor, but that there is some uncertainty whether the target audience will actively spread the design through Facebook.
