It has always been difficult trying to establish what defines a food culture because of the variety of different cultures in the same country. The report examines which conceptions of the Danish food culture have dominated the 20th century and how the concept Ny Nordisk influences this. The study investigates the history of the Danish food culture and what has defined what it is today. The report will show an analysis of Ny Nordisk and the aspects of this. Further more this study will analyze Ny Nordisk relation to the already existing Danish food culture after having used different theorists to analyze the meaning and the concept of Ny Nordisk. Occasionally Ny Nordisk is called New Nordic depending on the context. In addition this report will include a discussion on whether to say Ny Nordisk or New Nordic and what significance it has to say these in different languages even though they mean the same. Besides that there will be a discussion on whether Ny Nordisk can define the imagined food culture in Denmark.
