Studenteropgave: Semesterprojekt

Abstrakt

Denmarks first museum of rockmusic This project is about the unbuild museum “Danmarks Rockmuseum”, which will be placed at Musicon - a part of town in Roskilde. Through this project we will study how the museum of rock will be placed in the danish experience industry, and how it differentiate from other experiences. Therefore there will be a description of the museum’s ideas, goals and visions as well as a description of how they want to position themselves in the sphere of experience. This will be the foundation of an analysis of experience economy and strategy. In addition there will be elements of concept development that might benefit the further planning. The analysis of experience economy will be based on theories by B. Joseph Pine II and James H. Gilmore. These theories make it possible to identify which type of experience the museum will be. The strategic analysis will be based on a theory called “Blue Ocean Strategy” by W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne. This will be used to determine which competitive position the museum will be situated in.
