This research work with the case of Danish youth by having conducted quantitative surveys, distributed primarily to high school and University students. Examining Danish youth civic culture, the study showed a complex and paradoxical relation between activism and political institutions. This research makes it apparent how there is not a distinct conflict between social movements and political institutions, but rather a check and balance relation between the two, found in the Danish youth.
