Cyberbullying is a continuously developing phenomenon, which can be difficult to measure.
Though being a branch of bullying, it is set under new circumstances defined by the new
technology, internet, and everything else that has come with the new digital age.
This technology has made our lives a lot different, and a lot easier, but also poses some challenges
in the way we see and conceptualise the world. The question of the absence of physical proximity
of a community and how that community is influenced by something like cyberbullying, which
seems like it is surrounding us, in viral videos and posts. But is it really bullying, or is it just friendly teasing and constructed jokes?
This raises the question of how cyberbullying challenges the sociological notion of community.
This project goes through the theoretical concept of community and seeks to relate those notions to aspects of the online world.
