Abstrakt

This thesis examines the position of Croatian trade unions since the labour market reforms (encouraged by the World Bank), which threaten the unions' traditional role as negotiatiors. Communication seems to be absent in the relationship between the Bank representatives and the union leaders, hence, as a part of the thesis' focus, I have examined the possibilites for a "Freireian" type of dialogue between the parties.
