This project seeks to gain insight into the areas of CSR and sustainability, as well as implementation processes. This is achieved through a case study of the firm FLSmidth and their recent revision of their CSR strategy in 2015. FLSmidth is an engineering company developing products, systems and solutions for the cement and mining industries. The case study is based on an interview with Group Sustainability Manager at FLSmidth: Alex Campbell as well as analysis of FLSmidth sustainability reports in the years 2015-2017. The project seeks to gain understanding of CSR and implementation of CSR strategies, through this case study and the analysis hereof based on theories by, Friedman, Freeman, Carroll, Porter and Kotter. The results and understanding gained by analysis of FLSmidth is then used to gain broader understanding of the field in general.
