The CPH Web Fest is Scandinavia's first web series film festival and is a platform for amateur filmmakers to get their diverse stories seen in the Danish film industry. The creativity, documentation and visual world building of web series sustains a community of filmmakers to tell the stories of all sorts of characters from different backgrounds, bringing light to many ideas and issues in people’s lives. The festival is brand new, so it has a lot of potential for social impact and value creation in the developing film industry in Denmark. This report explores the potential that the Ethical and Transformational Leadership styles as well as the grassroots approach to film festival growth has on the sustainability of the fest. Storytelling is so important for inspiring people to get out of their shells and do something that considers the views and contributions of many. The CPH Web Fest aims to bend the boundaries of traditional storytelling and mediums to be used, including categories for submissions such as virtual reality, mobile devices and youth projects. This diverse approach to showcasing web series has potential for much social impact on the future of these platforms, how humans interact and use film and technology as well as creativity within the film world. This is so important for transforming the way we view and solve issues, how we cope and improve ourselves as people on this planet. The challenges of utilizing bricolage, being volunteer based festival and creating social value in an ethical and sustainable way are explored. The perspectives and theories of this report aim to provide insights to how this case can be reviewed and learned from for future leaders entering into the film world of Denmark.
