Contextual leadership in Vietnam and Nepal

The purpose of this paper is to study the relationship between different types of context and their influences in the behavior of leader in case of Nepal and Vietnam. In doing so, the paper has study in-depth six types of context: industry, hierarchy, national culture, organizational culture, education, experience and its influence to leadership in Nepal and Vietnam.
To answer the research question, qualitative method is used in the form of semi-structure interview to collect primary data. The interview includes six participants who are currently working at different sectors of the organization as a leader. Among which, three interviewees are from Vietnam and three from Nepal.
The findings indicate that social immediate level in the form of hierarchy and cultural level seems to influence leadership behavior most in case of Nepal and Vietnam.
Practical Information
This paper is considered to be practical to the investors who are going to invest in different industrial sectors in case of Nepal and Vietnam. The knowledge of leadership behaviors as well as characteristics of workforce will benefit investors a lot and give them a better chance to working and run their business smooth in long term in a new country.
